Laura Roald directs this fall’s Departmental Production, Brontë. The play takes place in a small rural parsonage, where the three Brontë sisters write with true passion and attempt to keep their household together through familial struggles. Polly Teale's literary exploration of their turbulent lives flashes back and forth through time, focusing on the creation and haunting characters of Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. Brontë probes how the dark imagination of these three women shaped their lives and helped them find their voices. Free to NVU Community, $5 for Public Admission
