April 24, 2010
On Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24, Johnson State College community members as well as members of surrounding communities will have the chance to clean out their closets of unwanted, gently used clothing and get new-to-them clothing items in exchange!
JSC's second annual Drop & Swap takes place in the SHAPE Facility Multigym on the JSC campus. Unwanted clothing, outerwear, shows and accessories, from infants to adults, can be dropped off on Friday, April 23 from 12 - 6 p.m. at the the side entrance of SHAPE near the Bentley parking lot. Donors can drive cars through and there will be volunteers to collect clothing.
On Saturday, April 24, donors can also drop off from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., but will need to bring clothing into SHAPE as there will not be volunteers to collect clothing curbside that day. Saturday will also be the day that you can pick up any new-to-you items that you want. There is no limit to what you can take.
All members of the community are welcome to take part in this event. Volunteers are needed as well.
For questions or to volunteer, please call Kelly Palmer, SERVE Graduate Assistant, at 635-1471 or email her at Kelly.Palmer@jsc.edu.
