About Ben Rush
Ben Rush came to NVU-Lyndon in 2015 as a full-time assistant professor of the Adventure Leadership concentration. Prior to NVU-Lyndon, he developed the first outdoor program at National Dong Hua University in Taiwan. He taught in Taiwan for 20 years before returning to the states. He is an active EMT with the local ambulance service and a WEMT for Stone-hearth Open Learning Opportunities, where he teachers wilderness Medicine.
During the summers, he teaches courses in Asia with Leave No Trace, SOLO, and the American Canoe Association. Dr. Rush has a love for international travels and has been to over 50 countries. He is excited to share his passion for using the outdoors to help students learn and become awesome people in the world.
Coming to NVU-Lyndon was a no-brainer. Location, Location, Location. Where else can you have a campus right in the middle of the mountains, rivers and close to the ocean? I can have a class in the morning and go for a bike ride at Kingdom Trails in the afternoon or hike the Green Mountains. It doesn't get any better than that.
