About the Concentration in Hospitality and Tourism Management
Tourism and hospitality is one of the world’s fastest growing industries, employing millions around the globe and providing exciting opportunities near and far for well- trained professionals.
Practical, real-world experience is an integral part of this program. Northern Vermont University-Johnson students complete internships close to campus and far away, from area ski resorts to the Boston Harbor Hotel, the Dunes in South Carolina, Disney World in Florida and the Sheraton Hotel in Oahu, Hawaii.
As a student in the hospitality and tourism management program, you’ll complete a core of both business and HTM courses and select from a broad range of electives to round out your education. In addition, the HTM program weaves more than 480 hours of documented experiential learning over four years.
Faculty connections and formal partnerships enable us to link students with top resorts, hotels, restaurants and event opportunities for internships as well as part-time and summer employment.
