M.A. Education

Jump in and Make a Difference with a Master of Arts Degree in Education from Northern Vermont University

Research-based practices and contemporary models of instruction are at the core of this innovative, learner-centered program, which offers multiple degree tracks for educators. Most courses meet in the evening or on weekends, and students typically complete their degree work in one to three years. (Completion within five years of admission is required.) Selected courses are open to non-degree students on a space-available basis.

While all M.A. degree programs specify required courses and a recommended plan of study, students work with their advisor to create an individualized plan of study and track progress toward graduation. For students who already have an M.A. in education and want to pursue further graduate study, NVU-Johnson offers self-designed certificates in advanced graduate studies in education.
