About the Concentration in Special Education
The special education concentration in Northern Vermont University-Lyndon's education program prepares students to graduate with a solid foundation in the principles and best practices of classroom education with specific coursework in special-needs classrooms. You'll learn about assessment, emotional and behavioral disabilities, and reading disabilities.
Early in your education -- during your second year -- you'll put theory into practice in real-world situations, working with classroom teachers around the region. You will graduate prepared to become a candidate for a Vermont Initial Educator license.
