As a student in our health sciences bachelor of science program, you will have incredible hands-on opportunities through internships and research. You’ll develop the real-world skills employers expect by working with multiple ages in diverse settings. When you graduate, you’ll be ready to excel in an exploding health education field.
With so many career choices in the health, medicine, and physical education fields for our graduates, we help you find and follow your direction by offering two concentrations for you to choose from:
- Health and Wellness Coaching — Prepare for a career in personal training, corporate health and wellness, community health education, or health/wellness counseling. You’ll also be well-prepared for examinations and certificates recognized by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching.
- Pre-Professional Health Studies — You’ll be on the fast track for admission into a graduate program in nutrition, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistance, and related health disciplines.

Whichever path you decide on, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience by working with supportive, collaborative faculty in our state-of-the-art labs. Students expand their skills by helping with nationally recognized research on nutrition and injury prevention. You’ll master the relevant sciences, explore health and disease, and use cutting-edge equipment and technology to gain an edge in the job market or graduate school.
Secondary Licensure
Students who earn a bachelor of science degree in health sciences are eligible to pursue endorsement for secondary education teacher licensure. Learn more about licensure requirements here.
