Pre-Physical Therapy

About the Concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy

The demand for physical therapists is huge. If you follow this direction to make your impact, you’ll need extensive coursework and lab experience in the sciences and an advanced degree. Our science-intensive concentration will prepare you for admission to a doctorate of physical therapy (D.P.T.) program and chiropractic and physician-assistant graduate study.

Courses in this concentration include chemistry, physics, anatomy, physiology, biology, psychology, and statistics. You'll also get valuable hands-on experience in an internship supervised by a physical therapist, chiropractor, or physician assistant. Our small classes, state-of-the-art lab facilities, and student-centered faculty will help you succeed.

Interested in teaching? You have the option of pursuing licensure to teach science in grades 7-12.
