About the Concentration in Pre-Professional Health

Health sciences is a growing field with a wide range of careers. As a student in the pre-professional health concentration at NVU-Johnson, you will study basic sciences, including biology, chemistry, anatomy, and physiology. After receiving a solid foundation in the sciences, your upper level courses will explore health assessments, the disease process, nutrition and fitness, and the scientific method.

A Focus on Hands-on Learning

Throughout your course of study, you will be exposed to research opportunities with faculty, hands-on learning in laboratories, and internships on- and off-campus. Upon graduation, you will be prepared to apply for graduate programs in nutrition, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistance, and other related allied health disciplines.
