Develop your studio and live sound skills in the Audio Production Concentration within the Music Business & Industry (MBI) major at Vermont State — the program for students interested in music production, audio engineering, music mixing, live sound, and audio post-production for film, television, streaming, and video games.

Your hands-on education begins year one in the MBI recording studio and Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) Lab, and you’ll learn live sound reinforcement working events in the Alexander Twilight Theatre right on campus.

As an Audio Production student, you will graduate with a B.S. in Music Business & Industry and a portfolio of recordings and mixes that showcase your talent and demonstrate your readiness to enter the entertainment industry. Students in this concentration can also earn the following Pro Tools software certifications:

  • Avid Certified: Pro Tools Specialist
  • Avid Certified: Pro Tools Music Professional
  • Avid Certified: Pro Tools Post Professional

This audio production concentration is led by Associate Professor Brian Warwick, a GRAMMY® winning recording engineer.
