About the Concentration in Music Management
The Music Business and Industry Music Management concentration at NVU-Lyndon provides students with training and instruction in the fields of artist management, music marketing and distribution, music publishing, and event and venue management. Students explore the concepts and skills needed for mastery of all the practical, legal, financial, and marketing aspects of music management. The program provides the expertise and hands-on experience needed for students building careers in concert booking and promotion, artist management, music marketing, music publishing, and more.
Music Management concentration students will gain real-world experience by:
- Creating and marketing commercial music for student-run Eneekay Records
- Designing and producing events like NVU’s annual Gregg Fest
- Participating in valuable internships
- Interacting with a plethora of music industry veterans during lectures, meetings, and workshops
Graduates of the Music Management concentration can collaborate effectively with other music business professionals as well as adapt and flourish within today’s dynamic music business.
