About the Concentration in Audio Production
The audio production concentration within the music business and industry major at Northern Vermont University’s Lyndon Campus is for students interested in music production, audio engineering, music mixing, live sound, and audio post-production for film, television, streaming, and video games.
During their first year on campus, audio production students get a hands-on education in NVU-Lyndon’s recording studio and DAW Lab; both are open 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Students get to learn live sound in the Alexander Twilight Theater that hosts many music and corporate events.
Audio production students will leave NVU-Lyndon with a bachelor of science degree in music business and industry and a portfolio of recordings and mixes that showcase their talent and demonstrate they are ready to enter the entertainment industry. Students in this concentration can also earn certifications in the Avid: Pro Tools User and Avid: Pro Tools Operator (Post) software.
