Summer/Winter Sessions

Summer/Winter Sessions

Do something North of extraordinary this summer at Northern Vermont University.

NVU’s summer session is the perfect time to take classes. Summer academic offerings can help you stay on track to graduate, complete your general education requirements, speed the pace of your degree completion, advance your career, or expand your horizons and expose you to new ideas.

We offer flexible schedules and traditional, hybrid, and online classes open to NVU students at both campuses and the general public. And the classes start at different times throughout the summer, which means the classes will more easily fit your summer schedule!

Johnson and Lyndon students—enjoy courses offered through either campus!

Take advantage of the full slate of NVU classes offered in traditional on-campus settings or through hybrid or online formats from either NVU-Johnson or NVU-Lyndon. Or find a class in the NVU Online division (formerly JSC Online/EDP).

Review course offerings at all three listings to find the courses that best meet your needs.

Summer Course Offerings

The most up-to-date listings of summer course offerings are available via Search for Sections. Note: With the formation of Northern Vermont University, there have been changes made to the naming conventions used for terms, location codes, and section identifiers. Please take a moment and review the Search for Sections Tip Sheet to understand these new NVU codes and concepts.

Financial aid is available for students taking summer classes at Northern Vermont University. Please note, accepting summer aid will reduce your fall and spring 2018 financial aid award amounts.
