Ride. Hike. Skateboard. Swim. Bike. There’s no end of opportunities to play outdoors on or near our Northern Vermont University campuses. You’ll be amazed by the recreational options on campus and the outstanding opportunities nearby. NVU-sponsored activities are offered on and off campus, there’s great skiing at top resorts in the area, and you’ll love the terrain parks and disc golf courses on each campus.

If you like to paddle, climb, or bike, you will be in the perfect place on either campus. Here, you can run whitewater rivers, bike through beautiful scenery, and rock climb in stunning spots. Skiiers, you can take your pick from some of the best terrain in the Northeast: Burke MountainSmugglers’ NotchJay Peak, and Stowe Mountain.

You’ll also find nearby trails for running and cross-country skiing and rivers and lakes for kayaking and other water sports. And both campuses have ponds for recreation.
