Coronavirus: Pass/No Pass Deadline Extended

Coronavirus: Pass/No Pass Deadline Extended

April 3, 2020

Message from Dr. Nolan Atkins, Provost:

Greetings, NVU students,

As we complete our second week of remote instruction, I want to share the following updates and resources:

  1. P/NP option: We have extended the deadline for choosing this grading option to May 14, the end of the semester. This change will allow you more time to consider this option for your classes. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and the form for choosing this grading option can be found on the COVID-19 web page.
  2. Summer courses: As you meet with your advisor to think about and create your fall schedule, please consider summer courses. We have many courses to choose from, including general education courses in every category. Taking summer courses is a great strategy to ensure you are earning 30 credits per year to stay on track for four-year graduation. You can find a complete list of our summer course offerings on the NVU website or by searching for sections in the Summer 2020 term in Web Services.
  3. Resources available to you:  Please keep checking the Student Resources section on the NVU Covid-19 web page. There you will find a growing list of resources available to you.

I recognize that remote learning and the COVID-19 pandemic is stressful and has presented difficult challenges for many of you. Please know that the faculty and staff are thinking of you. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please reach out to us at any time.  Be well and stay safe!
