About the Concentration in Literature and Film Studies

As an English major with a concentration in literature and film studies, you’ll explore the ways that the written word and the visual narrative strategies of film create powerful and sustaining cultural artifacts.

NVU-Lyndon’s English, Philosophy, and Film Studies Department offers a set of courses with the extensive range and depth of a much larger college or university but with the personalized attention of our small campus. With our dedicated faculty and small classes, not only will you get to really know your professors and fellow students, but you’ll have access to courses and programs in literature, writing, media, philosophy, culture, and film that are a match for any college in Vermont and New England.
