Information session for Devised Performance and Production Lab

August 24, 2020 | 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Are you a writer, actor, musician, dancer, designer, or a director? We want you! In honor of the 100 year anniversary of the women's suffrage movement in our country, Dibden Center for the Arts is embarking on an exciting project this semester and we want you to be involved! PAT 2001/4001 Devised Performance and Production Lab is an entirely new course that focuses on student-led collaboration in creating original works in performance. These original performances will be multi-disciplinary (Theater, Dance, Music, and Immersive Design) and YOU will be co-author! We will take primary sources from the 75-year long suffrage movement and build a groundbreaking live and online piece that will be performed just before our national election in November. This project will be directed by professor Isaac Eddy. Students of all experience levels on both campuses are encouraged to be a part of this project. If you are interested in earning 0-3 credits on a ten-week intensive theatre writing/performing piece, come to our information session on Monday the 24th to find out more about the project! Regular meetings will take place remotely Monday-Thurday from 6-9 p.m. For the Zoom meeting link, please reach out to: Issac Eddy Issac.Eddy@NorthernVermont.edu 802.635.1316
