Tenth Annual NVU Veterans Summit

This event—the largest of its kind in Vermont— brings veterans, their families, and veteran service organizations together to build relationships, strengthen connections, and foster an enhanced support network in Vermont and beyond.
The Summit features:
• Keynote address – Sebastian Junger
Bestselling author of War, about American soldiers in Afghanistan’s Korengal Valley, as well as Tribe, about their struggles adjusting to life back home. His documentary Restrepo – which he shot, directed, and produced with photojournalist Tim Hetherington – won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for an Oscar the following year.
• Breakout sessions
Career opportunities, the link between chronic pain and TBI/PTS, homeless veterans, chair yoga, and more!
• Exhibitor booths
More than 60 veteran service organizations — a one-stop shop for veterans services, clubs, and resources.
• A complimentary lunch is offered to all attendees, which provides a chance for networking and building personal connections
• The Stand Down
The Department of Veterans Affairs will host a one-day Stand Down in conjunction with the Veterans Summit; the event will provide valuable services to homeless veterans.
