Mask Up, NVU | Testing on Johnson Campus TODAY | Positive COVID-19 Cases

A Message from Provost and Chief Operating Officer Nolan Atkins:

Dear NVU Students, Faculty, and Staff,

We have two additional student COVID-19 positives and one staff positive on the Johnson campus, two from our testing on Thursday and one staff positive from an off-campus test. There were no positives from our testing Friday. All positives are either in isolation on campus or off. Full contact tracing is underway.

I urge you to mask up properly. It is required indoors and critical to your own well-being and the well-being of our greater NVU community.  If you are living, teaching, working, or learning on campus, please test at our weekly or pop-up testing. Surveillance testing is a requirement of unvaccinated students when directed by the Dean of Students.

  • Testing Today at NVU-Johnson: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Multi Gym
  • Weekly on both campuses:
    • NVU-Johnson: Wednesdays, noon-1 p.m., Multi Gym
    • NVU-Lyndon: Wednesdays, noon-1 p.m., Alexander Twilight Theatre Lobby

Please see the below email sent from Interim President John W. Mills last Thursday as a reminder of how incredibly important vaccination and proper masking are in ending this pandemic.

Nolan Atkins, Provost
