Take your first steps as a Northern Vermont University student at SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration)

Welcome to Northern Vermont University! During the month of January, the Student Life/Orientation Team will welcome you to our community through our virtual SOAR Orientation Meeting on January 5 which will include an Introduction to the Northern Vermont University SOAR course which will help you prepare for a strong start at NVU.

Within SOAR, you will have access to several learning modules to orient you to life at Northern Vermont University. These learning modules include information related to Academic Advising, Academic Support Services, Student and Residence Life, Dining Services and Student Financial and Billing Services.

You will also have the opportunity to meet your Orientation Peer Leaders who will provide you with guidance and support as you gear up to start your spring semester at Northern Vermont University.

If you have logged into the NVU Portal and set up your account, you will use that username and password to access Canvas (our online learning software), your NVU email, self service, and other areas of the campus. If you need help logging in to the NVU portal, please visit the NVU Information Technology website for more instructions.

The Spring SOAR Virtual Kickoff is on January 5. Check your NVU email for zoom link details.
