Welcome home.
The NVU-Lyndon Residential Life team understands that your on-campus room or suite is your home away from home. Our mission is to provide an inclusive living environment and supportive community where everyone can feel safe and welcome. We do this by providing learning opportunities, fostering community, and offering support throughout the year with the goal of developing meaningful connections amongst students and between students and staff.
Our live-in staff includes undergraduate Resident Assistants (RAs), Residence Hall Directors (RHDs) or Head Residents (HRs) in each building. This live-in professional staff members supervise their residence hall communities and the RAs.
Our residence halls play a central role in building community and the college experience for NVU-Lyndon students. Research shows that college students who live on campus experience higher rates of retention, satisfaction, and academic success. Sharing a common residential experience helps students connect with peers, find support from faculty/staff, and foster academic and social development.
Students on campus are welcome to visit or contact the Office of Residential Life in the Rita L. Bole Complex with questions or concerns. Parents are welcome to call with any questions as they arise.
We honor specific housing requests to the best of our ability, keeping in mind the finite supply of rooms and the high demand for certain living areas. New students are assigned to housing based on a first-apply, first-assigned principle except in the case of documented special needs. Any documentation must be submitted to Academic Support Services before it can be considered in support of a housing request.
Housing Assignments
Housing assignments and roommate information will be made available via our housing management system, ERezLife (https://northernvermont.erezlife.com/) . Please be aware that assignments are sometimes temporary as we work on them throughout the spring and early summer. Residential Life will send an email to all residential students once housing assignments are finalized.
