About Kate Moynihan

Kate is an adjunct staff at Northern Vermont University in the Outdoor Education department and has been an outdoor educator for over 15 years. Her outdoor career has brought her backcountry riding in British Columbia, Banff Canada, and volcanoes in Oregon; raft guiding 16 days on the Grand Canyon, and numerous backcountry trips throughout New England. Over the past few years, her focus has been on wilderness medicine and has included certification as a Wilderness EMT, National Registry EMT, Wilderness First Responder instructor, a Ski Patroller, Mountain Bike Patroller, and National Ski Patrol Instructor. Currently, she is working towards her instructor certification with the American Institute of Avalanche Research and Education and she currently guides for Backcountry Babes out of North Conway N.H.
