Our Campuses

From up here, things look different.

At Northern Vermont University, our perspective is informed by the beauty that surrounds us. With 360 degree mountain views at our Johnson and Lyndon campuses, the natural world shapes how we approach challenge, gather knowledge, and collaborate.

As an NVU student, you can take classes from professors at both campuses, either on site or virtually, although you’ll enroll at either the Johnson or Lyndon campus.

Two Campuses, Limitless Opportunities

Our Johnson campus, designated by the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges as Vermont’s premier public liberal arts institution, offers a hands-on liberal arts experience, where you will gain job-ready skills by conducting research alongside professors and completing internships in your area of interest.

Our Lyndon campus offers distinct professional programs with a liberal arts core, with nationally recognized majors in atmospheric sciences, electronic journalism arts, and exercise science.

Each campus features:

  • Excellent career-focused academic programs that will prepare you to make an impact in your career
  • On- and off-campus recreational activities and other options for your down time
  • Impressive Division III athletic teams and many club sports on both campuses. Go, Lyndon Hornets! Go, Johnson Badgers!
  • Stunning mountain landscapes that will inspire you to reach — and exceed — your goals

You’ll graduate with a big network of Johnson and Lyndon alumni to make and keep connections with throughout your career. Whether you’re at NVU-Johnson or NVU-Lyndon, students, faculty, staff, and alumni welcome you into the campus family. That’s why it feels like home.
