About Nate Rossetti

As a 2008 graduate of NVU-Lyndon, Nate Rossetti was very active in campus life working in various offices across campus. As an intern with the Associate Dean of Student Affairs in 2007, Nate helped to implement a program that would recognize student leaders on campus. As part of this program, he created the Student Leadership Recognition Committee and the now annual NVU-Lyndon Student Leadership Banquet. Because of his commitment to Student Life, he was a recipient of the 2007 Student Programmer of the year award and a 2008 recipient of the NVU-Lyndon Leadership Award.

Following graduation, Nate Rossetti worked for Upward Bound and later transitioned into Public Safety as a part-time Officer. In August of 2012, Nate was promoted to full-time Public Safety Officer. As a full-time Officer, he’s taken on numerous tasks over the years including directly working with students who have an interest in campus safety. In 2018, he created and implemented the new Student Leadership Program at Public Safety. This program teaches student employees the values of leadership, good decision-making, communication, and teamwork. The Student Leaders in the program act as Student Public Safety Officers, Dispatchers, Reserve Officers, and even Supervisors. This competitive program is designed to give students a ladder to climb in the department and it looks great on a resume. Because of Nate’s efforts and additional work, in 2019 he was promoted to Lead Public Safety Officer and Student Program Coordinator at NVU-Lyndon.
