About Thomas Anderson
Thomas Anderson is NVU’s Associate Academic Dean and serves both the Johnson and Lyndon campuses. He is the advisor to the NVU Veterans Association and organizes the Annual Veterans Summit and other veteran-related events. Thom served in the United States Marines Corps from 1981-1985. He is a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and is a member of the Marine Corps League’s Strong-Muller Detachment in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont. Anderson also served in Morocco with the Peace Corps from 1991-1995 and from 1997-1999 he worked as the Center Director for the United Seamen’s Service in Casablanca, Morocco. Hailing from Illinois he moved to Vermont in 2008 after being hired as a Professor at NVU-Lyndon in the Mountain Recreation Management department. Anderson became the Associate Academic Dean in 2014. He absolutely loves his job and enjoys working with students and colleagues to solve complex problems.
