NVU offers summer courses taught by Grammy award-winning recording engineer and faculty member Brian Warwick. These optional courses prepare students for the Avid Pro Tools: User and Avid Pro Tools: Operator (Post) certification exams.

Pro Tools is the industry standard for music recording and post-production. From the largest recording facilities to the smallest bedroom studios, Pro Tools is the leading music creation and audio production system. Whether you are new to the audio industry or a veteran looking to enhance your current skills and work toward an ‘Avid Certified’ credential, you will gain valuable skills while connecting with fellow professionals who share similar roles, abilities, and objectives.

Certification Details

The Avid Pro Tools: User certification courses are taught in an online format. All classes and demonstrations are recorded to accommodate a busy schedule.

The Avid Pro Tools: Operator (Post) certification is a two-week intensive taught in NVU-Lyndon’s recording studio and DAW Lab.
