Steve Charest ’02, and his wife Andrea are the proud owners of Petra Cliffs Climbing Center and Mountaineering School. Steve started out as an intern at Petra Cliffs when he was a student in the Outdoor Education program at Johnson and only intended to stay for one year. Twelve years later he is the Head Guide and has built their Outdoor Programs to include instruction for all levels of climbing and mountaineering, working with several local colleges (including JSC!), and incredible climbing and mountaineering trips to destinations around the world. Their dedication to top notch instruction and safety has made them a leader in the industry, popular with adults and children alike.
