JSC President Emerita Barbara Murphy recently published a piece in the New York Times remembering the life of Nohemi Gonzalez, the only American victim in the November 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, France. Murphy’s piece not only honors a remarkable young woman, but also calls attention the value of international travel for students from all backgrounds, even in the face of the perceived risks.
