Bess O’Brien’s “Coming Home” Screened April 24 at NVU-Johnson
“Coming Home,” a documentary that focuses on Vermonters returning to their communities after release from prison, will be screened at 4:30 p.m. April 24 at Northern Vermont University-Johnson. The screening, in Room 207 Bentley Hall, is free for the public.
Bess O’Brien directed the film for Barnet-based Kingdom County Productions. The 2018 documentary highlights the Circles of Support and Accountability (COSA) program that helps re-integrate people into their communities after they’re released from prison. COSA is operated through the community justice centers of the nonprofit Community Justice Network of Vermont.
A question-and-answer session with some of the people in the film will follow the screening.
