Caroline Burton Exhibit and Gallery Talk at JSC in September
NJ-based artist will give free, public talk on Sept. 8 at 3 p.m. in Julian Scott Gallery
September 1, 2016
Works by New Jersey artist Caroline Burton will be displayed Sept. 5-30 at the Julian Scott Memorial Gallery at Johnson State College.
Burton will give a talk at the gallery 3-5 p.m. Sept. 8. The talk and the exhibit, “A Rag, a Bone, a Hank of Hair,” are free and open to the public.
Burton’s work also is exhibited at the Vermont Studio Center, at 80 Pearl St. in Johnson, now through Sept. 21.
“Envisioned as one exhibition, dialogue exists between the artworks and the galleries that hold each body of work. As the viewer traverses from one space to another, they become the thread that completes the space between,” Julian Scott gallery director and assistant JSC professor Michael Zebrowski says.
The Julian Scott Memorial Gallery is located in Dibden Center for the Arts at JSC. It is open to the public 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, and during Dibden Center events. Admission is free.
