Broaden Your Perspective with a Degree in Photography from Northern Vermont University
Photographers are constantly working to see things in new ways. More than just a simple snapshot documentation of a moment, a photo can capture inspiring, beautiful, and informative details about our world. The associate of science photography program at NVU-Lyndon helps motivated students take their craft to the next level. Based on our campus in the heart of Vermont’s gorgeous Northeast Kingdom, our small, personalized classes offer you the opportunity to work collaboratively with faculty and other students while developing a solid foundation in the history, theory, and practice of photography.
You’ll have the chance to take hands-on classes in traditional black and white, digital, and commercial photography. You’ll be inspired not just by the artists and practitioners you study and northern Vermont’s natural beauty. You will also have the opportunity to participate in study-based travel to Europe to help hone your skills and expand your perspective.
Career Possibilities
Most students who pursue the A.S. degree in photography do it as a supplement to another degree. Whether you’re interested in marketing, recreational tourism, or other fields where images help relay information and get attention, a solid background in photography can help your resume stand out to potential employers.
