The Morrisville veterinarian who broke a record swimming the English Channel last year will speak at Johnson State College on March 9.
The talk by Dr. Paula Yankauskas will begin at 4:30 p.m. in room 207 of Bentley Hall. The event is free to the public.
Yankauskas will appear with Alburgh author Glenn Stout, whose book “Young Woman & The Sea” is about Trudy Ederle, an American who, in 1926, became the first woman to swim across the English Channel.
Yankauskas, in her 60s, set a record as the oldest American woman to swim 21 miles in the channel from England to France on the first attempt.
