College offers expanded options in online education in addition to traditional course offerings
August 9, 2016
On Monday, August 22, 2016, the fall semester at Johnson State College will officially begin.
In addition to its traditional slate of courses and degree offerings, this will mark the first fall that Johnson offers 5 completely online degree completion options through its new JSC Online program. An additional summer development resulted in JSC’s new designation as a COPLAC Premier Public Liberal Arts college.
The college will celebrate the start of a new academic year with its traditional Opening Convocation, where members of the incoming class of 2020 will process into Dibden Center for the Arts while being cheered on by a ‘welcome cordon’ of students, staff and faculty. The entire community will gather in Dibden to hear remarks from President Elaine C. Collins as well as other college leaders, about the upcoming year.
Following Opening Convocation, the college community will celebrate the new academic year and COPLAC membership with a picnic on the Quad.
