Infant Laughter Project Spotlighted on NBC News
JSC Professor Gina Mireault’s ongoing psychological study continues to receive national attention.

The Infant Laughter Project, an ongoing study spearheaded by JSC Psychology Professor Gina Mireault, has had a spate of national attention recently, culminating in the project’s being featured on the Jan. 17 episode of NBC Nightly News.
The feature evolved from a paper Dr. Mireault co-authored in the Jan. 5 issue of Current Biology, which published a series of primers on “The Biology of Fun and the Fun of Biology” in celebration of the journal’s 25th anniversary. Several other national media also covered her work, including Science Daily, the Huffington Post, and New York magazine’s “The Science of Us.”
