Johnson State College to Host Annual Town-College Forum

Johnson State College to Host Annual Town-College Forum

February 11, 2008

Johnson State College will hold its annual College-Town Forum in association with the second Breakfast with Your Legislators event February 11, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Both events will be held in Base Lodge in Stearns Hall, the college’s dining facility. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The event provides an opportunity for community members to hear President Barbara E. Murphy’s annual report on the state of the college, and a chance for Lamoille County legislators to take questions and comments from the public on the current legislative session. Ed Stahl of the Stowe Area Association will be the moderator.

The events are sponsored and organized by the Lamoille Valley Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Lamoille County Planning Commission, Lamoille Economic Development Corporation and Stowe Area Association.

The first legislative breakfast was held at the Senior Center in Morrisville in January. The third breakfast will be in the town hall at Lake Elmore March 17. The fourth breakfast will be held at the Golden Eagle Resort in Stowe April 14. All breakfasts begin at 7:30 a.m.

Anyone interested in attending should RSVP by February 5 by calling 802-635-1240, or email Heloisa.Herder@jsc.edu
