Free community meal for the public takes place on Sept. 27 at United Church of Johnson at 100 Main St.

Johnson State College will offer a free community meal for the public Sept. 27 at United Church of Johnson at 100 Main St.

The 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. meal, at which Johnson students, faculty and staff serve as volunteers, features a hot lunch on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month through May for anyone who goes. All meals are at the same time and location.

The meals are sponsored in part by JSC Sodexo Dining Services, the JSC SERVE program and Laraway Youth & Family Services.


On July 1, 2018, Johnson State College and Lyndon State College will become Northern Vermont University, a two-campus institution of higher education that combines the best of both colleges’ nationally recognized liberal arts and professional programs under a single administration.
