March 17, 2010

Business and Hospitality students at Johnson State College will host a traditional Irish pub-style dinner on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 to raise funds for earthquake relief and medical support in Haiti.

Dinner will be served from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the newly renovated Performance Space of the Stearns Student Center on the JSC campus. The meal, coordinated by students in Professor Todd Comen’s Food and Beverage Management course, will include roast leg of lamb, corned beef and cabbage, potato and leek soup, Irish stew and more.

The cost is $25 per person, with proceeds benefiting Vermonters who are working in Haiti with Partners of the Americas. A cash bar featuring Guinness beer, Irish whiskey, and other libations will be available.

To reserve a seat, contact Renate Callahan at (802) 635-1339. For information on how Vermonters are helping in Haiti during this time of need, visit www.vermonthaitiproject.org.
