JSC Community Says Farewell to Emma Thompson and Jerry Davis

December 2008 marked a bittersweet month for the Johnson State College community, as two longtime members retired. The college held two receptions celebrating the many accomplishments of longtime Assistant to the Dean of Students Emma Thompson and Mathematics Professor Jerry Davis. Both are leaving the college after 40 years of service.

On December 5, 2008, the community gathered to honor and celebrate the 40 years of service Emma Thompson has given to Johnson State. Her friends and coworkers shared memories about Emma, while Emma herself shared many recollections of her time at the school.

Jerry Davis, too, was joined by many JSC community members as his 40 years at the college were honored at a reception held on December 15, 2008. Again, the community had many happy memories to share about Jerry and his time at the college.

The JSC community wishes both Emma and Jerry well as they move on to the next phase of their lives. Their contributions will long be remembered.
