JSC Hosts Special Olympics Hoops Tourney March 25

Third-annual event is organized by JSC’s Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

The third annual Special Olympics basketball tournament at Johnson State College will be March 25 at the SHAPE athletics center.

The tournament, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., is free for the public and is organized by JSC’s Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

Some teams in the JSC tourney compete in the statewide Special Olympics basketball tournament.

JSC students referee games, keep statistics, manage the clock and operate a concessions stand, proceeds from which benefit Special Olympics Vermont.
