Spring Author Series hosts David Cavanagh March 31

March 19, 2015

Johnson State College welcomes Vermont poet David Cavanagh to its Spring Authors Series on Tuesday, March 31. Cavanagh will read from his latest work at 4:30 p.m. in the Performance Space of the Stearns Student Center. The reading is free and open the public.

Cavanagh’s books of poetry include Cycling in Plato’s Cave, The Middleman, Falling Body and, published this spring, Straddle. He is the former co-director of Johnson State’s External Degree Program.

“David Cavanagh’s poems straddle birth and death, joy and sadness, health and sickness, youth and age, male and female, seriousness and humor with deft handling astride his own Pegasus,” Vermont author Greg Delanty notes.
