JSC to Host “Sherlock” Sneak Peek
JSC to Host Exclusive Sneak Peek of BBC Show, “Sherlock”
May 1, 2012
In partnership with Vermont Public Television (VPT), Johnson State College will host a sneak peek of the hit BBC series “SHERLOCK” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, in 207 Bentley Hall. The event is free and open to the public, with ample free parking available in any campus lot.
The dynamic, if not dysfunctional, duo of Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch, War Horse, Tinker Tailor) and Dr. John Watson (Martin Freeman, The Hobbit, The Office) are modern-day crime fighters in 21st-century London. This updated, tech-savvy Sherlock Holmes battles the worst that criminal minds, including an arch villain who wants to rule the world, can throw at them.
Each of the three new episodes – which Vermont Public Television will begin broadcasting on Sunday, May 6- is pegged to a classic story by Arthur Conan Dolye. The JSC screening, “A Scandal in Belgravia,” involves a crafty dominatrix trying to outsmart Holmes. Portions may be inappropriate for young viewers.
