“It is an honor to be named the new Coordinator of Student-Athlete Development at Johnson State,” stated Cannon. “The previous coordinator developed and implemented a solid foundation and I look forward to having the opportunity to continue to work to promote civic responsibility through community service and service learning. Having met many members of the JSC family, I am excited to work collaboratively with student-athletes, staff, faculty, and the community to foster individual and team growth to enhance the student-athlete experience.”

“My main goal is to meet with as many members of the Johnson State community to understand more of the culture and the needs of the student-athletes,” continued Cannon. “This will allow us to develop programming that is reflective of their interests and will develop them as lifetime leaders and increasing the value of their overall collegiate experience.”

“Johnson State’s athletic department and programs are in the midst of creating a different environment and it is an exciting time to be a part of this changing culture. Everyone seems to be genuinely excited at the prospect of creating a competitive environment and enhancing the student-athlete experience. I share in that excitement and am thrilled to join the JSC Athletics Department and Coach (Ray) Campanile’s staff.”

“The entire Johnson State community has demonstrated such passion for serving their students and empowering them in and out of the classroom. I plan to continue that tradition as a new member of the JSC family and look forward meeting caring, driven, and dynamic personalities each step of the way.”
