Lyndon Stages 2nd Annual GreggFest
Two-Day Music Fest to Raise Scholarship Funds
April 29, 2015
The second annual GreggFest music festival will be held on Friday, May 8th and Saturday, May 9th at the Lyndon State College Skate Park Amphitheater. Each day’s festivities run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and all ages are welcome. All proceeds go to raise scholarship money in Jake Gregg’s name. Gregg, a Music Business and Industry student at Lyndon, was a talented musician whose career was cut short by acute myeloid leukemia. He died on April 12, 2015.
In honor of Gregg, the festival organizers have assembled a line of top-notch New England area musical acts. Friday night’s headliners are “Ry and Colin,” and “Joe Sambo and the Goonz.” Also appearing are “Wise Old Moon,” “You Know Ono,” and “Electric Sorcery.” Saturday night sees “Gang of Thieves” and “Dubbest” headlining while “Red Tin Box,” “NEMES,” “Pardon the Spins,” and “The Mangroves” fill out the night’s bill.
There will be food and a beer garden both days of the event. Saturday outdoor activities and games include slacklines, a bouldering wall and a 3 p.m. skate jam. On Friday, the doors open at 4 p.m.; on Saturday, the doors open at 1 p.m. Tickets are available at the door: prices are $5 for a Friday or Saturday pass; the two-day pass is $8. Free parking is available in the Stonehenge parking lot on campus.
