MARS Lab Opens on Campus
Mac-Based Media Arts Research Lab Opens

On Wednesday, September 22, 2010 from 4-5 p.m. JSC will celebrate the opening of its new Mac-based Media Arts Research Studio (MARS) in the Library and Learning Center on the college campus.
The open house event will feature live and virtual digital art demonstrations; lightning talks by guests artists at JSC and via the web from Toronto, San Francisco, Austria and Italy; exhibits from students in JSC’s Advanced Digital Arts class; a preview of JSC’s new digital photography studio; and a chance to meet Sean Clute, JSC’s new assistant professor of digital arts, and learn about opportunities for all JSC students to use the studio. Refreshments will be served.
Featured artists include: JSC faculty members Bethany Bond, John Miller and Sherlock Terry International guest artists include: Caitlyn Carradine (Vienna), Nick Fox-Gieg (Toronto), Jessica Gomula-Kruzic (San Francisco), and Bill Wolter (Taos).
