Mending Masculinity Event Sept. 18 at Northern Vermont University-Johnson

Mending Masculinity, a spoken-word performance about gender and sexuality issues, will be presented at 7 p.m. Sept. 18 at Northern Vermont University-Johnson.

The event, at Stearns Student Center Performance Space, is free for the public.

Poets Perry “Vision” DiVirgilio and Kavindu “Kavi” Ade make up Mending Masculinity, and they perform and lead workshops on college and university campuses around the country. In addition to gender and sexuality, their poems address multicultural identity, race, violence and sexual assault.
