Northern Vermont University’s Janet Van Fleet Exhibit Opens Sept. 23

“Long Thoughts,” an exhibit of mixed-media work by Cabot artist Janet Van Fleet, will run Sept. 23-Oct. 11 at Julian Scott Memorial Gallery at Northern Vermont University’s Johnson campus.  
 
The exhibit, and a reception 3-5 p.m. Sept. 26, are free for the public.
 
Van Fleet is a founder of Studio Place Arts, a Barre community visual arts center, where her studio is located. Her work often responds to environmental, political and social issues.  

Julian Scott Memorial Gallery is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and during Dibden Center performances. For more information, visit NorthernVermont.edu/JulianScottGallery or call 802.635.1469.
