Rugby Club Update

The annual Preston Tournament, held in memory of a beloved teammate since 1977, was hosted May 4, by the JSC women’s and men’s rugby teams. On the women’s side the Montreal Barbarians swept the tournament beating every team they faced. The JSC men’s team swept the tournament winning 35 to 10 against Lyndon State College and in the final game beat Castleton State College 20 to 17!

The Rugby Club is raising money to fund improvements to their field. To date, they have raised $7,120 from alumni donations but **they still need to raise $1,120 to complete the field expansion — and they need to raise it ***fast*** in order to have the grass growing on the field before the fall season begins!
