Rugby Club Update
March 1, 2014
In recognition of his unwavering support for and commitment to Johnson State, the Vermont State Colleges’ Board of Trustees approved naming the JSC rugby field in honor of JSC Senior Associate Admissions Director Patrick Rogers ’05. His enthusiasm as a former player, current coach of the women’s team, and fundraising organizer make him a natural candidate for the honor.
Patrick’s response: “Thank you. Nothing could have happened without Don Allen ’84, John A. Sweeney ’82, Jonathan Wood ’78, and with all of the alumni that contributed for the renovations along with the staff and faculty support. It is my honor to work with the students, staff and alumni on this project to improve the field. A huge thank you goes out to the maintenance department, the SGA and it’s clubs, and the alumni office for all of their hard word in helping get this accomplished. The campaign is not over and I hope we can continue the work we have started. Again thank you for the support, but please note that nothing in rugby is done alone – it always takes a team effort.”
