Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars at JSC

JSC students, faculty and staff will be welcomed back to a new academic year at JSC with a muscical performance by Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars

On Monday, August 27, at 8 p.m. Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars will perform in the Dibden Center for the Arts. The six-member band came to gether in Guinea after civil war forced them from their native Sierra Leone. The event is free and open to JSC faculty, students and staff only.

The band is also the subject of a documentary, also titled Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars, to be screened at JSC on September 10 and 12, 2007 at 9 p.m. in Bentley Hall, Room 207. The documentary screening is free and open to the public.
