Transgender activist Skylar Kergil to speak on April 14
A YouTube star since high school, he shares his story to help others

Johnson State College will welcome Skylar Kergil, a 24-year-old transgender musician, artist, activist, YouTube star and speaker from the Boston area to campus on Thursday, April 14. Kergil will speak at 7 p.m. in Stearns Student Center’s Performance Space.
In 2009 during high school in suburban Boston, Kergil began documenting his transgender journey on YouTube. He now has over 8 million views on YouTube and almost 11,000 Twitter followers, and he travels to educate others about trans rights and to share his story.
The event is free and open to the public.
